(Psa 4:5) Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

By definition a sinner is one that has missed the target. The image he/she was created to be! Therefore sin is a crime against God!

Why am I a sinner?

Gen 1:26  And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So It happens to be that anyone that falls short of the image that God created us to be like has become a sinner! So What was this image?

Heb 1:1  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 3  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Jesus the son of God was the express or exact image of God and therefore the image that you and I was created to be. And by not being Christ like we fall short of this image and we become sinners!

Sin is not only an act that we can do or not do according to our own will. But it is our nature or the spirit that dwells within us that cause us to sin. It is a spirit that was planted within Adam in the garden and has passed down from generation to generation. None have ever escaped it, except Jesus who was not fathered by Adam but was the son of God.

Why do I sin against God? Why can’t I stop?

For a moment remember with me my dog Sparkplug. He was a Yorkshire Terrier I raised from the time he became weaned. From the moment I brought him home I never had to potty train him, which was a good thing. He would always go to my back door and begin whimpering when he needed to be let out. Without experience I was caught a little off guard when I let him out. My male dog in which I was very happy to have and was very proud of waddled out into the back yard and squatted down and began to pee! Did you catch that? My male dog squatted down like a female dog to pee? I found out later that this was natural but at the time I thought I had a sissy dog and wanted to hide him away so nobody would see him pee like a girl! For weeks he would waddle out the same way squat down and pee. Then one day out of the blue he went into the back yard, began sniffing around a tree in the back yard, then lifted his leg and began to pee on the tree like a great big boy dog should have been all the time! I was so proud of Sparkplug that moment.

Then I began to think about what he had done. There were no other dogs around there to explain to Sparkplug the proper way for a male dog to urinate and I was incapable of speaking his language. So just how did Sparkplug all of a sudden know the proper peeing posture of the male dog? Then I began to realize it was his nature. That was the spirit of the dog that caused him to come to this knowledge.

I began to understand that man had a spirit that caused his nature as well. This was a corrupted spirit that caused a sinful nature within man. Man cannot change his nature anymore than Sparkplug could!

I believe that nature or that spirit can be named SELF! SELF is the spirit of sin! Satan in the garden introduced Adam and Eve to sin! SELF was the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil!

God gave us directions to show us the way of eternal life! They came in the form of 10 thou shall not's! Jesus showed us the summary of these directions, called commandments, in just two commandments in which I call the do’s!

Mat 22:37  Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38  This is the first and great commandment. 39  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40  On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

No self to be found! #1 Love God! #2 Love your neighbor the way you love yourself!

Now likewise look at the single commandment found in the satanic bible!

Do what thou will, that is the whole of the law! In other words do what you want that is all that matters!
